Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 19: Transfers and postings in today's cabinet meeting negates coalition government oft-repeatedly claims launch a war against corrupt officers. In today's cabinet meeting, State Government ordered postings and transfer of some credible officers but half a dozen officers who have been facing one or other type of charges have been given important postings. Adjusting officers, without doubtful credentials, on important positions has raised many eye-brows because since its formation in March 1, 2015, coalition government has parroting to wage a war against corruption. But today's decision has raised a big question mark over government's tall claims. State Government had earlier transferred some officers, with questionable credentials on unimportant and irrelevant positions but in today's cabinet meeting some of these officers have managed plum positions due to their links in the corridors of power. Ironically some officers, who were earlier likely to be included in the list of "deadwood", today managed very important postings. After its formation, the state government had announced to eradicate corruption from the administration. As part of its campaign against corruption, the State Government had issued first list of dead-wood and ordered pre-mature retirement of some tainted officers. After releasing first list of deadwoods, the state government had announced that second list will be released very soon but nothing has been done so far in this regard. What to say of releasing second list of dead-wood, the state government has today adjusted many tainted officers on important positions and this action of the government raised many questions. |
