Engineer Rasheed faces ink attack in Delhi Beef Party Aftermath 10/19/2015 11:30:35 PM Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report srinagar, Oct 19: A day after Engineer Rasheed linked Udhampur attack on Kashmiri truck drivers in which one of the persons succumbed to his injuries in a Delhi Hospital on Sunday. Details revealed that Engineer Rasheed was in Delhi Press Club along with some close relatives of truck drivers attacked in Udhampur when some people shouted at him and threw black ink and Mobile oil on him for hoisting a beef party in Kashmir last week. The details reveal that two persons who were later detained by Police were identified as on Deepak and Dev Indra Singh. They told Police that they were angry with Engineer Rashid for hosting a beef party in Srinagar last week and they claimed they do not belong to any Political party." This is second attack on Rasheed in a row for hoisting a beef party on September 7 in MLA Hostel during Autumn Assembly session of the state. In Srinagar Rasheed was thrashed by two BJP legislators of Jammu province inside Assembly Hall for hosting a beef party.. After a fresh attack on him in Delhi today, Rasheed while referring to ink attack on Columnist Sudheendra Kulkarni exactly a week ago duringbook launch of one former Pakistan Minster Khursheed Mehmud Kasuri said that "what happened with Kulkarni, happened with him today." He said that "People talk of Talibanisation of Pakistan, look what is happening in India, they (attackers) are mentally ill." In Kashmir while condemning the attack on Rasheed, Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Syed said that "in a vibrant democracy like India, we need to have courage to respect dissent and provide space to different points of view, the spate in unpleasant incidents such as this is most disturbing." BJP's Heena Bhat said that "Mr Rashid should have taken care not to hurt the sentiments of any community."
