Early Times Report

Poonch, Oct 19: The local administration of Poonch district swung into action after receiving a letter from Chief Minister Grievance Cell, in connection with the scam in the selection process of paramedical staff under National Rural Health Mission.
Sources told Early Times that despite revelation of scam in selection process of paramedical staff under various categories including female multipurpose workers, lab technicians, lab assistants, adolescent councilor male/female under National Rural Health Mission Poonch in the Early Times newspaper, when no action was taken by the concerned department and concerned Deputy Commissioner on the serious issue, the Chief Minister Grievances Cell, taking cognizance of matter, shot letters to Chief Medical Officer Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti and Deputy Commissioner Nazir Wani for immediate probe in the matter.
"After publishing of series of stories in Early Times regarding the scam in selection list of paramedical staff in which senior officials got managed to adjust their blue eyed depriving the deserved aspirants, the Chief Minister Complaint Cell took strong exception of matter, and considering the issue of grave nature shot letters to CMO Poonch and concerned DDC for taking appropriate action and submitted the report with the CM cell," they said.
Astounding, the CMO Poonch Dr Bhatti, instead of initiating inquiry into the selection process so that any discrepancies in the selection could be rectified, all the selected have joined the services. Director Mission NHM Dr Mohan Singh said that he had come to know that CMO Poonch and DDC Poonch have received letter from CM cell on the issue. "I have also issued directions to the CMO Poonch for taking it serious and initiate inquiry into the matter," Dr Singh said furthering adding he would not compromise in this issue and justice will be done to the deserving aspirants.
