JAMMU, Oct 19 : Annual inter-district State level hockey tournament for under-17 and under-19 girls, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), got underway at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today.
Hosts Jammu district and visiting side of Poonch won their respective matches on the first day of the two-day competition, which was opened by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, who interacted with the teams playing in the opening match.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Gurmeet Singh, Satvinder Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Mandeep Singh and Jajjit Singh.
The Detailed Results:
Under-19 year: District Poonch beat Baramulla 2-0 (Rukhsana and Rozia were scorers); Jammu district beat Poonch 1-0 (Kavleen was scorer).
Under-17 year: Poonch beat Baramulla 4-0 (Ishtia Sharma scored all four goals); Jammu district beat Baramulla 1-0 (Priya scored the goal). |
