10/19/2015 10:26:07 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 19: Alleging breakdown of law and order machinery in the state, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister lambasted the coalition govt. for its failure to rein in the Anti-Social, Anti National, communal and disruptive forces that were hell bent to vitiate peace and disrupt communal harmony in the state for their vested interests. He said that JKNPP strongly condemned the nefarious designs of those who were trying to flare communal passions and disturb our age old traditions of communal amity and brotherhood for their narrow parochial ends.
He was addressing a massive demonstration organized by JKNPP against the collapse of law and order in the state and immunity given to saboteurs, felons and malefactors by the by BJP-PDP government. The angry protesters also torched the effigy of the coalition government.
Seeking the arrest of Engineer Rashid for whipping up communal passions, for his provocation by outraging religious sentiments and by committing heinous offence in full public view in MLA Hostel Srinagar, Harsh Dev Singh said that nobody was above law and that the coalition govt. needed to have acted tough against felons like MLA Rashid who have engineered communal passions across the length and breadth of the state.
He said that the Udhampur incident of petrol bombing on Kashmir based truckers which had shocked the collective conscience of the society needed to be equally condemned with strict action against the offenders under the law.
Balwant Singh Mankotia strongly flayed the communal and anti-national forces which were trying to disturb peace and harmony in the state. He demanded strict action against all the offenders of law including Engineer Rashid who was responsible for inciting communal divide and for threatening peace in the two regions of the state. He further castigated the BJP and PDP for giving a long rope to the anti-nationals in Valley who were frequently raising Pak and ISIS flags besides indulging in seditious activities.
Yash Paul Kundal while protesting the collapse of the Law and Order and breakdown of socio-political apparatus of the state sought the imposition of Governor's Rule in the state as further continuance of the unholy alliance could pose a grave threat to the peace, security and communal harmony in the state.
