UDHAMPUR Oct 19: Motor Vehicle Department today charged Rs 80,000 fine from traffic violators and seized 10 vehicles for various offences under Motor Vehicle Act.
During daylong drive against traffic violations, MVD conducted checking of vehicles plying on Dhar Road and other routes in Ramnagar and collected a fine of Rs 80000 from violators.
The checking was conducted on the direction of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Around 10 vehicles were challaned for the violations of Motor Vehicle Act, while 5 tape recorders of mini buses were also seized.
The team warned the drivers of passenger vehicles against violations of the traffic rules to avoid any action from the department. |
