jammu, Oct 19: In the October 9 Udhampur 'petrol bomb' attack on a truck, all the nine accused have been booked in a murder case. PSA has also been slapped on all of them.
With one of the victims succumbing to his injuries yesterday in Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, all the nine accused were booked under section 302 of RPC.
The Udhampur police submitted a fresh dossier to the district magistrate (DM) yesterday, seeking detention of four more persons under PSA. The DM, after examining the dossier, facts and material produced on record regarding the instant case and criminal history of the accused, issued warrants for detention of the accused under PSA.
Based on the DM's PSA order, all nine accused were shifted to central jail, Kot- Bhalwal, here.
The accused included Jasbir Singh S/O Baldev Singh R/O Laddan Power House Udhampur, Rahul Sharma S/O Purshottam R/O Sambal Udhampur, Suneet Singh S/O Pardeep Singh R/O Sambal Udhampur, Rameshwar Singh @ Guchhu S/O Karan Singh R/O Sambal, Sandoor Singh, son of Thakur Singh of Dheda, Gool, Danish alias Pamma, son of Khushia of Ward No 12, Dewak, Udhampur, Harish Singh Katoch, son of Chuni Lal Katoch of Bhimdassa, Gool, Balbahadur Singh alias Abbu, son of Girdhari Lal of Moungri, and Varinder Singh alias Kaka of Sambal, Udhampur. Kaka originally hails from Nepal.
All the accused were booked vide FIRs No 367/2015 and 368/2015 lodged u/s 307/336/436/147/148/120-B/427 RPC and 3/5 of Explosives Substances Act. They have also been booked under 302 of RPC for murder. |
