Srinagar, Oct 19: The State Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed approved transfer of land measuring 6 Kanals and 13 Marlas along with one structure belonging to the Estates Department, adjacent to the Sangarmaal City Centre in Srinagar to the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA). The Cabinet also approved transfer of land measuring 35 Kanals in village Keran, Tehsil Jammu (North), under the possession of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) to the J&K Higher Education Department for its further lease to the Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for the establishment of regional branch of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the transfer of Padshahi Bagh (36.9 Kanal) Bijbehara, Anantnag in favour of J&K Bank for a period of 10 years, in the first instance, for further comprehensive development. The Bank shall take suitable steps for conservation of Padshahi Bagh Park before work is taken up for its restoration. Industrial Policy-2004 extended till March-2016 The Cabinet approved extension of J&K Industrial Policy-2004 notified vide Government Order No: 21-IND of 2004 dated: 27.01.2004. The policy shall remain in force till 31 March 2016 or till the New J&K Industrial Policy-2015 is notified. Regularisation of Directors in Animal Husbandry Deptt The Cabinet accorded sanction to the regularisation of Joint Directors of Animal Husbandry Department viz Dr Jaswant Singh w.e.f 01-03-2000 and Dr M K Misri w.e.f. 01-06-2004 as Directors of Animal Husbandry Department. Creation of supernumerary posts of Assistant Labour Commissioner The Cabinet approved creation of supernumerary posts of Assistant Labour Commissioner in the Pay Scale of Rs 7500-250-12000 (pre-revised) for the period from 29-09-1997 to 30-04-2000 to be utilised for promotion/ regularisation of Abdul Qayoom Mir who superannuated as I/C Assistant Labour Commissioner as Assistant Labour Commissioner w.e.f. 29-09-1997 on notional basis and from 20-03-1998 on regular basis till his retirement i.e 30-04-2000 and regularisation of M L Sharma who superannuated as I/C Assistant Labour Commissioner as Assistant Labour Commissioner w.e.f 15-06-2004 to 31-12-2006 only. Approves pensionary benefits for GLU employees The Cabinet decided to extend pensionary benefits to the 30 leftover employees of the erstwhile Government Lumbering Undertaking (GLU) by extending the cutoff date upto June 30, 1984 instead of March 31, 1983. Abdul Hamid Sheikh, Managing Director, J&K Project Construction Corporation Limited has been transferred and posted as Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Jammu, vice Nayeem Ahmad, who shall await further orders of adjustment in the Public Works (R&B) Department. P.L. Bhushan, under orders of posting as Incharge Chief Engineer, SKUAST, Kashmir, be posted as Chief Engineer, J&K Police Housing Corporation. G.N. Qasba, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department has been posted as Mission Director, National Rural Livelihood Mission, J&K. Tufail Mattoo, awaiting orders of adjustment in the Industries and Commerce Department has been posted as Director, Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, relieving Bipul Pathak, of the additional charge. |
