Kashmiri youth's death protested in Doda, Kishtwar, Banihal | | | Jammu, Oct 19: Peaceful protests were held in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda, Kishtwar and Banihal towns of Jammu region on Monday against the attack in Udhampur that left a truck cleaner from the Kashmir Valley dead. Complete bandh was observed in Bhaderwah town to lodge protest against the death of 24-year-old trucker Zahid Rasool Bhat who was attacked using petrol bombs in Udhampur. The bandh call was given by Anjuman Islamia Bhaderwah. In order to maintain law and order, police and paramilitary personnel were deployed in strength to avert any untoward incident. While interacting to media, the President Anjuman Islamia Bhaderwah, Khairat Hussain Frash demanded resignation of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for loose law and order leading to death of Zahid Rasool Bhat, a complete shutdown was also observed in Banihal town of Ramban district against the attack which resulted in the death of Zahid Rasool Bhat and serious injuries to another. |
