Jammu, Oct 21: "Bulls & Bears" - an innovative financial market Forum involving panel discussions with industry experts was organized by the MIET School of Management, Jammu.
A galaxy of market experts interacted with the students at MIET School of Management and shared valuable knowledge, experience and insights pertaining to financial markets. The broad areas covered included stock market functioning, growth opportunities for investment, sectoral-analysis fundamentals, risk identification and management, regulatory frameworks & policies, micro and macro economic indicators, equity vs. debt options etc.
Ankit Sharma, Chief Manager & Vice President UTI, Bharat Bahl, Cluster Manager Amritsar for ICICI Mutual Fund, Rishi Gupta Proprietor Rishi Gupta Advisory and Minesh Kumar Raina, Area Manager Swastika Investmart were the resource persons on the occasion. Akhil Mahajan, Asst. Professor, School of Management moderated the Forum.
The Forum generated good enthusiasm among the students who asked interesting questions. One month before the forum, students had been tracking the markets through virtual portfolios on moneycontrol.com a leading financial management portal and had plenty of contextual preparation to make the best use of interacting with experts.
Prof. Brig. P.N Sharma, Head, School of Management formally welcomed the guests and set the tone for the forum.
Prof SK Sharma, Principal MIET shared his experience about the stock market, extolling upon the students to gain expertise in this domain as financial services remains a high growth area for new jobs. He presented the mementoes to the industry experts on conclusion of the program.
