Rana, Arora, Sadhotra, Slathia to be special guests in Mattu's beef party? | | | ET Report jammu, Oct 21: Articulated, educated and US returned spokesman of opposition National Conference (NC), Junaid Mattu on Tuesday announced to hold a beef party to assert his "right and free will", ignoring religious sentiments of minorities of Jammu and Kashmir. After announcement of Junaid Mattu to hold beef party, everyone is asking whether Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota, Kamal Arora, MLA Bishnah, two former ministers namely Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Surjeet Singh Slathia will the special guests in the party. Rana, Arora, Sadhotra and Slathia are tightlipped over announcement of Junaid Matto to hold beef party. By maintaining silence on Mattu's announcement, it is allegedly clear indication that these leaders have given their silent consent to Mattu's function. Mattu, who is always in the forefront to condemn anti-democratic steps of the BJP led NDA government at Centre, has announced that aim of his beef party was to show his free will. The highly qualified NC spokesman is not aware that his action would hurt sentiments on minorities in J&K According to media reports, Junaid Matto said on Tuesday that he would host a beef party. He said it would be to assert his "rights and free will". He said hosting the beef party was his attempt "as an individual protecting his rights". Beef politics has already gripped state into unprecedented crises but opposition NC appears to be trying to take political benefit of the prevailing situation in the State. What is more shocking that none of the NC leaders including those who are claiming to be secular have so far oppose move of Junaid Matto to hold beef party. Jammu based NC leaders' silence on Matto's announcement is more shocking. By their behavior Jammu based NC leaders have given a message that they don't have any say in the party. They have to follow footsteps of their Kashmiri leadership. |
