Two PDP leaders skip Mehbooba's meeting | Mufti takes serious note | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 21: Hinting that cracks had developed in PDP, two party leaders skipped the meeting called by party president Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday. Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has reportedly taken serious note of their absence. The two PDP leaders were conspicuous by their absence in a meeting of PDP MPs, MLAs and MLCs called by Mehbooba. Their absence, according to insiders, has been perceived as a direct challenge to Mahbooba's authority. A senior PDP leader claimed that Mehbooba was going to be the next chief minister of the state. "If someone finds it hard to digest, it is better fall in line or quit," he said. Insiders said Mufti Sayed exercised caution and refrained from taking action against the `erring' duo. But, today's development has been taken seriously, they said. Mufti also expressed shock over the incidents of Dadri and Udhampur. He also expressed confidence in the Modi's leadership. One of them, who is sulking for not getting ministerial berth at the Centre, has alleged that RSS is being allowed to get hold in the valley and the minorities in the country are not feeling secured in the India. Another PDP leader has also made critical remarks about the coalition government as he too hasn't been given any ministerial berth and there is very less chance of his making a comeback in the state. |
