| 110139 flood victims get Rs 574 crore relief under SDRF, PMNRF | | 108601 flood victims whose houses got damaged are yet to be compensated by Government | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Oct 21: The government of Jammu and Kashmir has so far distributed an amount of Rs. Rs. 574.075891crorers as compensation among 110139 flood affected victims under SDRF and PNMRF whose structures were damaged in last year September floods in both regions of the state.
As per the details available with "Early Times" out of 218740 damaged houses and other structures identified by the various government agencies, 110139 affected persons get the compensation for their damaged property including partially and fully damaged houses, huts, cow sheds which amounts to Rs. 574.075891 crores.
As per the official data available with "Early Times", under SDRF, the State Government disbursed an amount of 206.0658 crores as compensation to flood affected victims which include Rs. 168.44471 crores in Kashmir Division and Rs. 37.62106 crore in Jammu Division.
Under SDRF category, in Jammu Division; flood affected victims of Jammu District received compensation of Rs. 11.62933 crores followed by Rajouri District with an amount of Rs. 7.48932 crores, Poonch Rs. 4.80550 crores, Reasi Rs. 4.47213 crores, Udhampur Rs. 3.92713 and remaining amount was distributed in other Districts of the Division while in Kashmir division, out of Rs. 168.44471 crores government distributed an amount of Rs. 91.70985 Crores in Srinagar District followed by Pulwama Rs. 20.77997 crores, Anantnag Rs. 19.54183 crores, Budgam Rs. 14.87214 crores, Bandipura Rs. 9.0973 crores, Bharamullah Rs. 6.07791 crores and remaing amount was distributed among other Districts.
Similarly under PMNRF Rs. 368.0100907 crores were distributed among 110139 flood victims whose houses were partially or severally damaged while 108601 which is almost half of the total number of house got damaged due floods.
Under PMNRF, Rs. 67.6968 Crores were distributed among 30940 victims in Jammu Division out of identified 66583 structures (Houses) damaged in all the 10 Districts of the Division which include 10118 completely damaged houses & 56465 severely and partially damaged houses.
In Jammu District 20741 house got damaged due to floods and out of these only 8001 victims received financial assistance pegged at Rs. 16.3765 corers, followed by Rajouri District where out of 13197 damaged structures 5141 victims received Rs 17.6030000 crores, in Reasi District out of 5904 damaged structures, 4845 victims received Rs. 10.6125 corers, in Poonch District out of 7429 damaged houses, 5686 victims received compensation of Rs. 9.428 corers, in Udhampur District out of 7734 damaged houses only 2500 victims received Rs. 5.639 Crorers as compensation.
Similarly in Kashmir Division, in Srinagar District out of 90302 damaged houses, 27691 victims received compensation of 128.0144167 corers followed by Budgam District where out of 13838 damaged houses 12299 received compensation of Rs. 41.0187558 corers, In Anantnag District out of 14523 damaged houses 11894 received Rs.40.7651051 corers as compensation are the worst hit Districts of the Kashmir Division due to last year floods. |
