Orders move with Darbar without any provision MD JK Cements oversteps mandate 10/21/2015 11:53:09 PM Ishtiyaq Ahmad Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 21: In a brazen violation of the company rules Managing Director JKCL Rakesh Sharma has issued an order for shifting of his office to the winter capital without any provision. The sole motive of the order allegedly revolves round the comfort of the MD himself. The Early Times is in possession of an order wherein he has ordered that the corporation head office in the form of a camp office will shift to Jammu for the winter season. The order reads "in compliance to Government order No 1339 GAD of 2015 dated, 07.10 2015, Managing Director of JK Cements limited shall move the camp office along with the following officers/officials to Jammu during the winter months. The order has mentioned that along with the Managing Director Rakesh Sharma, Secretary Abdul Rashid Bhat, office assistant Shaheena Jan, Driver Bashir Ahmad will move to Jammu. Surprisingly, sources in the corporation revealed that ever since the corporation came into existence its headquarters have never moved to the winter capital of the State. "It is strange that when the head of this corporation is much needed here to oversee the functioning of the plant, the MD has ordered to shift his base to the winter capital," one of the insiders told Early Times. He said that the incumbent Managing Director instead of being keen in uplifting the corporation is busy to appease his Minister and his higher ups. "Two major plants are installed at Khrew. There has been a sharp decline in the production. But he is not worried at all. Government should intervene into the matter and should remove this incumbent MD," the insider said. According to the sources recently an another order was issued by the Managing Director in which he has posted one General Manager Finance as General Manger Technical at Khrew plant to manage the affairs of the plant. "It is not understood as to how General Manager with the background of finance will handle the technical issues at plant," sources said. Sources added that the Finance section at the head office is managed by a junior ranking officer who is of the rank of manager finance. "With the blessing of MD the said officer has also been given the additional charge of company's secretary who has no background for the same," sources said.
