HC directs PHE Deptt to supply clean water to Chhani Himmat residents 10/21/2015 11:43:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 21: High court judge B S Walia today directed Executive Engineer (Xen) of PHE Department to ensure supply of clean drinking water to the residents of Channi Himmat through mobile water tankers till further orders. The court directive came in a petition filed by Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh. As it was also submitted that the overhead water tank in sector 1 of Chhani Himmat was being constructed in violation of the Master Plan, the court stayed its construction. The court was informed that more than 1,500 people of sector-1 of Chhani Himmat were suffering from scarcity of drinking water. Justice Walia, after hearing the two sides, directed Xen of PHE department to ensure supply of clean drinking water to the residents of Chhani Himmat through mobile water tankers till further orders.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
