MVD organises road safety programme | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 21: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Samba today organised a road safety awareness programme at Little Angels School, Vijaypur. According to press release, on this occasion, road safety pictures, movies, traffic signs, road crossing, boarding and de-boarding techniques from the school buses and scenarios about various road accidents were shared with the children during the programme. During the interaction ARTO Samba, Er. Kuldeep Singh appealed to the school management to ensure road safety education to the young buds during the morning assembly so that they inculcate safe driving ethics and rules. He said that the MVD Samba has now become more proactive to sensitize the general public and the youth about the road safety and the ongoing road safety awareness programmes shall cover hundred percent educational institutions. He disclosed that about 23% of the victims in the road accidents were in the age group of 16-25 years , about 65% of the victims were in the age group of 26-45 years and 85 % of road accident victims are youth between age group of 16-45 years, the most productive human resources of the nation. On the occasion SDPO Vijaypur S.S Sambyal , Principal Little Angel School Vijaypur R.K Gupta, MVI Madan Lal and teaching staff of the school were also present. |
