Kathua, Oct 21: A team of the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Kathua headed by the Assistant controller Legal Metrology Kathua Ajay Verma conducted intensive checking of various business establishments.
LMD inspected sweet shops, sweet and pakora stall installed at Sri Mata Bala Sundri Temple Nagri, Bakery Shops, Confectionary shops, Provisional Store, Hardware stores, Karayana shops, Scrap Dealer , Animal feed Store at main Bazar Kathua , College Road Kathua, Jagatpur, Chak Gota , Nagri, Hatli Morh, Railway Road,Industrial Area, Kathua ,Mahanpur, Banipur, Parnala, Plail and adjoining Areas of Teh. Kathua ,Billawer, Mahanpur and Nagri during 14th of Oct. to 20th of Oct. During Inspection number of traders were inspected. A total of 10 traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997 and Package Commodities Rules and a total penalty of Rs 18400 was imposed on the erring traders. |
