Sewa-II Power Station celebrates NPHC’s Raising Day 11/8/2015 11:15:18 PM early times report Jammu, Nov 8: Sewa-II Power Station, NHPC Ltd. celebrated NHPC's 41st Raising Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. According to press release, the celebrations were held under the supervision and guidance of P.K. Langer, Chief Engineer, Sewa-II Power Station. The celebrations began with the unfurling of NHPC flag and singing of National Anthem. The highlight of the celebrations was a cultural entertainment programme featuring patriotic songs and dances put up by children of NHPC and Govt. School Simleu. Speaking on the occasion Shri Langer announced that Sewa-II Power Station has been given the 'Best Power Station' award for year 2015 under the NHPC Awards Scheme. This is the second time in a row that Sewa-II has been selected as the Best Power Station from amongst NHPC's 18 operating power stations after winning the same award in 2014. Sewa-II has been awarded on basis of best all round performance covering all parameters including Generation, Technical Inspection, Auxiliary Consumption etc. Shri Langer also informed the gathering about the various achievements of NHPC in terms of generation and also about CSR SD activities in the region including building of community hall at Bani and plans of donation of X-Ray machine at Govt.
