Anganwadi workers demand hike in salary, declare Govt employees | | | early times report Jammu, Nov 8: Anganwadi Workers Welfare Association demanded from the Government to increase salary of Anganwadi workers Rs 15000/-and for helpers Rs 10000 PM as prices of all essential commodities as all others states in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Association opposed extended 6 hours duty till salary is not increase and there is exploitation of poor Workers and Helpers, 100 percent promotion for Anganwadi workers for supervisor post with proper seniority list district wise and appointments of supervisor in all districts. Addressing media persons, Ashok Choudhary said the nutrition system should be improved and a good Nutrition to be supplied at Anganwadi centres with all complete items, Nutrition be given quarterly, carriages charges and TA, DA to attend meeting, uniforms to workers and helpers as per central Govt guide line as Department is not providing these benefits. He further said Nutrition to be issued as per challan not less as at present honest system is not there, C.D.P.O should take workers meeting monthly as C.D.P.O fail to take workers meeting and avoided to take meeting and to meet them stop zone wise meeting, fuel charges and rent is not being paid to the workers, enquiry must be held by a vigilance agency, social security, pension scheme ESIEPF be introduce for welfare of workers. |
