UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: Giving an impetus to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi conducted a 'Cleanliness Drive' in coordination with the civil administration at Sungri and remote villages of Gulabgarh.
The event gained significance with various lectures by the Regimental Medical Officer (RMO) on health and hygiene, screening of awareness movies for students and clean house competitions for the residents was organized.
The locals who were part of the cleanliness drive understood that, a clean living environment gives impetus to both physical as well as social growth and there is a need to inculcate good hygiene and sanitation practices to prevent early avoidable health issues and to simulate all round social development. |
