HC directives in disparity of clerical staff Jammu Kashmir Ladakh

Jammu, Nov 23: In a petition filed by Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, high court judge Bansi Lal Bhat disposed of the petition with a direction to the respondents that they shall implement the settlement arrived at interse the parties on September 15, 2011 within a period of two months.
The petition sought directions to the respondents to give redress the grievance of the Petitioners by removing pay anomaly/disparity of clerical staff working in various Government Departments in due deference to the decisions arrived at and reduced into writing in the minutes of meeting held on 15th of Sept. 2011 between High Powered group of Government of J&K and Leaders of Union/Association of Employees by revising the pay scale of Junior Assistants from 3050-4910 to Rs.4000-6000 (pre-revised) notionally w.e.f. 01.01.1996 and monetarily w.e.f. 19.02.2003, pay scale of Senior Assistants from Rs.4000-6000 to Rs.4500-7000 (pre-revised) notionally w.e.f. 01.01.1996 and monetarily w.e.f. 19.02.2003, Pay scale of Head Assistants from Rs.5000-8000 to Rs. 5500-9000 (pre-revised) notionally w.e.f. 01.01.1996 and monetarily w.e.f. 19.02.2003, Pay scale of Jr. Scale Stenographers from Rs. 5000-8000 to Rs.5500-9000 (pre-revised) notionally w.e.f. 01.01.1996 and monetarily w.e.f. 19.02.2003 and the the petitioners have further sought directions to the respondents more particularly Pay Anomaly Committee to perform its duty legitimately cast upon it by the State Government by making necessary recommendations with regard to removal of pay anomalies/disparities of clerical staff working in various Government Departments so that the decision arrived in the meeting held on 15th Sept.2011 is implemented in its true spirit.
After hearing the petitioner's counsel, Justice Bhat disposed of the petition with the direction to respondents shall implement the settlement arrived at interse the parties on September 15, 2011 within a period of two months.
