Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: In a PIL seeking directions to the state to provide proper infrastructure and security cover in the Janipura court complex here and take effective measures for ensuring safety and security of the judges, advocates, employees and clients, a high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat after directed Additional Director General of Police to restore the PSO of former judges. Regarding security of the Court Complex, Janipura, the bench observed that as per the report submitted by a senior lawyer, the Malkhana existing in the basement of District Court Complex in which dynamites, live bombs, detonators are stored, poses serious security hazards to the entire District Court Complex, Judges, Lawyers and litigants. Upon this, the bench observed that since urgent steps are required to be taken in this regard and directed Principal District Judge, Jammu to take steps for removal of the combustible detonators, explosive substance/grenades and other articles from Malkhana after specific directions for its defusal/disposal. The bench said that this be done without loss of time. |
