JKNPP expresses concern over non-payment of salaries to teachers, ReTs | | | Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Nov 23: Expressing grave concern over the unrest amongst the teaching community of the state, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) lamented the non-release of salaries of general line teachers and ReTs appointed under SSA and RMSA. Addressing a press conference here today, provincial president JKNPP Rajesh Pargotra said that the general line teachers and ReT have not received salaries for the last 9 months. Pargotra said that the PDP-BJP coalition government has failed to live up the expectations of the people. He deplored that thousands of families were on the verge of starvation due to the callous attitude of the state government. He regretted that the arrears of Education Volunteers (EVs) converted as ReTs/ Teachers were pending for the last 18 months. It was ironical that the teachers who were described as pillars of the nation were forced to take to streets even for the release of their hard earned salaries, he added. |
