GBSWA among ors stage protest against discriminatory’ attitude of Govt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 23 : Gujjar Bakarwal Students Welfare Association among other organizations staged protest demonstration against discriminatory attitude of the government who failed to protect constitutional rights. There were a huge number of students in the protest and several associations supported to GBSWA association were ALSWAJ, ALSA, SLSA, OBCSA BRASS and INM, among these association lots of students involved in the protest with fully enthusiasm and curiosity. BRASS president Satish Viddrobhi and INM President Bheema Azad also participated. While speaking with the media person State President Zulfqar Kassana said that recently judgment which has been made by the High Court to scrap reservation in promotion and also Supreme Court try to scrap reservation in higher education it is totally discrimination with the deprived classes. He said it seem to be first move of government and judiciary. Reservation in promotion is our fundamental right which is also mention in the article 16 clause 4 and sub clause A that the state to make provision for the reservation of post in govt. jobs in favour of any backward classes of citizens so it is our fundamental right and this judgment also violation of this article and right to equality. First of all Govt. should clear the real position of the backward classes and after that should take action. Founder patron of GBSWA Talib Hussain while addressing to the students gathering he requested to the student and all social enthusiasts to stand against this discriminatory attitude of the government, he said government is now tune with the policy of removing reservation of the downtrodden. The judiciary which is independent and impartial must find an alternate solution to solve the ongoing problems which is going to adversely affect the stock holder of the reserved categories. Rinzin Kalsang ALSAJ president said that it is totally discrimination with the people who are living in the far-flung areas such as Ladakh which remains close 6 month during the year. How these people will compete with the other classes without reservation. |
