JAMMU, Nov 23: A support session with regard to State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) based on the State Level Improvement Plans (SLIPs) under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme was held under the chairmanship of Secretary to Government Housing & Urban Development Department Bipul Pathak here today at Hotel Fortune Riviera. Municipal Engineering specialist of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India namely Amit Gaur and Rakesh Gujral were also present in the meeting to support JMC, SMC and Directorate of Urban Local bodies, Kashmir in preparation of action plan for the Government of India Scheme- AMRUT. The scheme requires preparation of five year plans for four cities of J&K- Jammu, Srinagar, Leh and Anantnag in the sectors of Urban Transport, green spaces & parks, Sewerage/drainage, seepage management and water supply. The proposals were discussed in detail and plans were finalized as per the guidelines of Government of India. Among the other support staff, Commissioner JMC; Commissioner SMC, Director Urban Local Bodies (Kashmir), Chief Town Planners, Engineers of these departments and UEED were also present during the support session. |
