JAMMU, Nov 23: Jammu District Veteran Athletics Championship, organised by J&K Veteran Athletics Association, concluded with the holding of prize distribution function at Dushera ground, Sainik Colony, here.
The competition held under the supervision of general secretary of the Association, Tarsem Lal Basotra. Earlier, the competition was declared open by Chairman of Sainik Board, Jai Singh.
Around 100 veteran athletes of different age groups took part in different field and track events held under the guidance of athletics coaches, Ramesh Sharma (SAI) and Gurcharan Singh (State Sports Council).
In the meantime, the participants also paid respects to chairman of the Association and former Chief Sports Officer (CSO) of State Sports Council, Bashir Ahmed, who left for heavenly abode recently.
