MENDHAR, Nov 23: An Inter School Essay Writing Competition was conducted by Hamirpur Battalion under the aegis of Bhimber Gali Brigade for the children of the local schools in the region with an aim to develop self confidence, improve awareness besides providing them a medium to express their thoughts.
More than 125 students drawn from the 15 schools of the region participated in the Essay Writing Competition on wide ranging topics to include 'Swachh Bharat', 'Kashmir of my Dreams' and 'My Village'. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 17 Nov 15 & was graced by Commander, Bhimber Gali Brigade & Thakur Sher Singh, SDM, Mendhar. Admiring the efforts put in by the participants, the chief guest stressed upon students to carry on with the same zeal and zest for their all round development. Thakur Sher Singh, SDM, Mendhar also addressed the gathering on the occasion and hailed the cooperation between Army & civil population. |
