Earlier, experienced J&K skipper, Mithun Manhas won the toss and opted to field. But, to his dismay, bowlers could not make their presence felt on the home turf and allowed AS Desai compete his century before he was caught leg before by Parvez Rasool 106 runs. Other two batsmen at the crease, SA Asnodkar (74) and SK Kamat (57) too have already completed their half centuries and were confidently holding the crease. Parvez Rasool bowled most of the 31 overs to take one wicket for 85 runs. Meanwhile, two young cricketers, Abhinav Puri and Pranav Gupta have made their debut in the first class cricket. |
