3 bovine smugglers held 11/24/2015 12:42:45 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of three bovine smugglers and rescued three bovine animals during a naka checking in Jourian Akhnoor. Police have identified the bovine smugglers as Deepak Kumar alias Arjun s/o Ajeet Singh, Bir Singh s/o Chamail Singh both from Jourian and Vijay Kumar s/o Kaka Ram of Marchola, Sunderbani. Police spokesperson said that during the patrolling in Jourian area here today at around 04:00 hrs police team intercepted one Mohindra load carrier bearing regd no JK02BJ-7496 for checking and found three bovine animals loaded in the vehicle. "Police sought the requisite documents from the occupant of vehicle who failed to produce the document for the inter-district transportation and thus were arrested on the spot, police added. "All the three accused have been arrested and vehicle is seized, police spokesperson added.
