NMC demands for allotting separate wage head in each department 12/7/2015 11:16:49 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7 : Expressing the hope that the ensuing 2016-17 State budget which is about to be presented by the Finance Minister in the coming state Legislature Budget session begins on 18th of January 2016 will be pro salaried/working class budget, President of the National Mazdoor Conference(NMC) Subash Shastri today demanded for allotting separate wage Head in each department in the budget so that sixty one thousand daily rated workers working in the various departments of the state government to get their monthly salary regularly. He said that under the budgetary provisions this interim measure will go a long way to address their financial problems in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation Shastri said that these daily wagers have not been paid their wages for the last many years neither they were not been regularized so far. While appreciating programs and policies of the coalition Govt. of the State, he appealed to the State Finance Minister to settle the long pending demand of these daily wagers for their regularization so that confusion and uncertainty among these daily wagers could come to end. Stressing on the need for release of 6% DA installment in favor of employees and pensioners, Shastri urged him to announce and release the same at the earliest adding that as it is the matter of financial routine as the salaried class and pensioners are faced with soaring prices, especially those of essential commodities.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
