Jammu, Dec 7:A revenue official reportedly adopted a unique modus operandi to make fortune by firstly doing fake mutation of complainant's land and then introducing another claimant, who fortunately turned hostile in the Court of Custodian Jammu, unknotting the threads used by official to knit the plot.
According to documents available with Early Times, one Suraj Prakash with connivance of Patwari (revenue official) misleading revenue authorities, filed case in court of custodian evacuees' property involving third party in the dispute.
However, the third party Deepak Kumar son of Sardari Lal was unaware of the conspiracy hatched by Suraj Prakash for piece of land, and withdrew the case. "The case was called and both parties were present, Deepak (petitioner) produced an undertaking for withdrawal of his case. The petition was dismissed as withdrawn as per the prayer of petitioner", copy of order issued by Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu read.
Deepak, in settlement agreement/ compromise deed claimed that Suraj Prakash had taken his signature on 15 blank pages. "My signatures were taken by Suraj Prakash on 15 blank papers ostensibly on the assurance that he wished to get a partnership deed registered citing me as one of the partners for starting a business of FMCG goods", Deepak mentioned in compromise deed, adding that however, later on he has come to know that Suraj Prakash in connivance with Joginer Pal Patwari, had filed a complaint before the Custodian, Jammu against Pashori Lal son of Baisakhi Ram without his concurrence.
Earlier, Suraj Prakash with connivance of revenue officials tempered land record, with respect to land belonging to one, Bimla Devi, a resident of Pascal Bishnah. Revenue officials including Tehsildar and Patwari Bishnah were party to this misdeed wherein Mutation was done without her knowledge. When she approached concerned Tehsildar, the Tehsildar instead of mending his wrong doing, misbehaved with the victim. Moreover, to mislead action against him by higher authorities, the Patwari and Suraj Prakash created a new story, which was fizzled out and the person being used by them, withdrew the case. |
