Senior officers obey diktats of 'influential HC 12/7/2015 11:58:30 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: A head constable of the State police is these days dictating terms to his seniors who are obediently following his directions. This influential head constable is attached with a Cabinet Minister, so senior police officers don't dare to even ignore any of his direction. Credible sources in the corridors of powers said that this head constable is constructing a palatial house in the outskirts of the city. And police officers have directed businessmen, dealing with all types of building materials, to ensure uninterrupted supply at the construction site of the head-constable's house. The sources said that a SDPO level officer is working as a "contractor" to ensure supply of building materials for the house of said head constable. This SDPO level officer has mobilized a good number of businessmen by abusing his official position to continue supply of material so that the head constable would construct a palatial house. The sources said that the Cabinet Minister with whom this constable is attached is either unaware or has maintained a blind eye towards such mis-conducts and mis-deeds of the official. The Cabinet Minister claims himself as honest but this head constable is indulged into all misconducts to influence officers not only of Police Department but of other departments too, of his Minister. Instead of approaching the Minister for their personal work, legal or illegal, people prefer to contact this head constable because he emerged to be more powerful then the Cabinet Minister. Before formation of this Government of PDP and BJP, the said head constable was posted outside Jammu district but within no time he managed his transfer at Jammu and got himself attached with a Cabinet Minister.
