LMD Udh books Cineplex for overcharging 12/7/2015 11:25:30 PM Early Times Report udhampur, Dec 7: The Legal Metrology Department Udhampur under the supervision of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, Jaideep Singh Sambyal made surprise visit to Raj Cinepex and booked the management in connection with overcharging on cold drinks and snacks. The team seized cold drink and packs of snacks on the spot and found that management was selling the snacks and cold drink on Rs. 15 and Rs. 40 respectively instead of Rs. 10 printed on them. The inspector Legal Metrology booked the manager and owner of the Movie theatre under Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities Rules. The Assistant controller said that a trader cannot charge any amount over and above the printed MRP.
