| Urs of Hazrat Abu Sakinder Ali Shah Sahib celebrated | | | Early Times Report
bhaderwah, Dec 7: The annual Urs of sofi saint Abu Sakinder Ali Shah Bhagdadi Sahib (RTA) was celebrated with religious fervor in Bhaderwah where hundreds througed the shrine at Masjid Mohalla and paid homage to Abu Sakinder Ali Shah Bhagdadi Sahib (RA) on URS where special prayers were also organised by the management committee led by Nazir Ahmed Zargar.
According to press release, Islamic Scholar from Kashmir also participated in Annual Urs . The proceedings of the Urs got underway with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran followed by Naat Sharief .
People belonging to various walks of life paid rich tributes to the saint for his meritorious services for the welfare of humanity and promotion of Islamic teachings.
Speaking on the occasion, all participants lauded the teachings of the great sufi who worked for promotion of Islam which included peace and brotherhood. One of the most revered saints of Bhaderwah , Abu Sakinder Ali Shah represents the common cultural heritage and mutual love between various communities of this area.
Every year thousands of devotees from all walks of life and different religions and regions throng the famous shrine of Abu Sakinder Ali Shah in Bhaderwah to pay their reverence to the pious saint and seek his blessings.
Bhaderwah has traditionally been a place where religion has dominated the discourse and knitted people of different faiths together. |
