JAMMU, Dec 7 : Director Sainik Welfare Board (SWB), Brig. Harcharan Singh, called on the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, here this morning for pinning ceremony to mark the Armed Forces Flag Day. The Flag Day is observed every year on December 7 to collect funds for welfare of armed forces' personnel.
The Chief Minister urged people to contribute generously for the needy ex-servicemen, widows and dependent families of the personnel.
Additional Director, SWB, Col. J. D. S. Kotwal and decorated armed personnel, Col. Prabhu Singh, Capt. Bana Singh and Hawaldar Rashid Ahmad, were also present on the occasion. |
