Submit final report of Ex-DG by December end: SVC to SVO 12/7/2015 11:58:32 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: The State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today directed the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) to submit final report in the Preliminary Enquiry under probe against former Director General Fire and Emergency Services, GA Bhat by the end of this month. The SVC while reviewing the long pending cases of Public Importance with the Vigilance Organization has expressed strong displeasure over tardy pace of investigations. It has asked for final report in the Preliminary Enquiry under probe with SVO against G A Bhat, Ex-Director General Fire and Emergency Services by end of December this year, a senior officer of SVC said. In the backdrop, the SVC took cognizance of a complaint lodged against Bhat relating to misuse of official position, misappropriation of Government funds, accumulation of disproportionate assets, besides illegal appointments made in the Department in violation of standing rules and norms by the said Ex-Director. The Commission vide its order dated June 24, 2015 had directed Vigilance Organization to conduct a Preliminary Enquiry in light of the allegations levelled in the said complaint, he said. The SVO vide communication dated November 26, 2015, has sought more time for submission of the report in the matter, he said.
