ReT Forum stages protest, highlights issues 12/7/2015 11:59:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: Thousands of ReT Teachers from all the districts of the State staged one day protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu. The protest was led by State President Vinod Sharma, under the banner of All J&K ReT Teacher Forum to highlight the grievances of ReT Teachers and against the callous attitude of the Govt. toward ReTs. The ReT Teachers tried to take out protest march to Civil Secretariat and had a scuffle with the police personnels deployed outside the press club. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma lambasted the State Government and the Education Department for their biased approach towards ReT fraternity. He said that Regularization of ReTs who have completed 5 years service 1 and half years back is still pending and they are harassed on the name of verification and screening tests where as the court has ordered only to screen the Degrees issued by Tuk shops/Fake Universities. He said that verification of degrees has been initiated by the Department, Since Aug.2015and has not yet been completed which is a matter of great concern and the Education minister and his subordinates are giving humiliating statements against ReT Community which will never be tolerated. He further said that the department has even failed to streamline the salary of SSA Teachers which is pending for last 6 to 8 months and the family members of thousands of teachers are on the verge of starvation.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
