Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 29: High court judge Hasnain Masoodi has reviewed the judgement passed by the High Court on July 15, 2014 by virtue of which it had directed to reframe the selection list of constable (photography cadre) on state level against 82 vacancies. The counsel for the petitioners, while arguing the case, submitted that at the time of notification and as a per the information received under RTI, as many as 114 vacancies of constable photographers were referred to the selection committee for their selection. After going through the details, Justice Masoodi, after perusing the records in the review petition No 3 of 2015 titled Javid Mansoor Rather & others V/s State & others, directed the selection committee to fill up the vacancies of constables (photograph cadre posts) as on March 1, 2011, i.e., the date when advertisement notification was issued. "In view of the reasons detailed and on no opposition from the other side, application is allowed and delay of 136 days in filling the review petition is condoned. The disposed of review petition stands diarized and registered" reads the judgement. "Petitioners are aggrieved, that respondents in compliance of writ Court judgement dated July 15, 2014 are keen to restrict the exercise to be undertaken in terms of the judgement to lesser number of vacancies as against the vacancies available on the date advertisement notice was issued and applications invited unless exact number of the vacancies is shown in the advertisement notice," says the judgement. |
