Moral education is needed more outside the schools!
12/30/2015 12:13:03 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 29: The Minister for CAPD, Chowdhury Zulfkar has stressed need for moral education in schools. A noble idea indeed. Children must be taught morals for a healthy society. What about the politicians and the bureaucrats?
It has been observed that the politicians do anything for power. How many politicians were found involved in the sex racket that took the State by storm in the previous decade? And how many bureaucrats have `reaped the fruits'? Fortunately no teacher and no student was involved in the racket which conveys that the Minister has to concentrate more at some other place rather than schools.
A look at the workers of the politicians also paints a grim picture. Land grabbers, extortionists, gangsters and even rapists work for the politicians who go to the Assembly to frame laws for regulating the conduct of the commoner.
The politician and the bureaucrat have the license to loot the State and they afford it because every time they are booked, the anti-graft bodies succumb to political pressure and hush up the case.
The Minister better teach morals to his colleagues, to his beaucrats in the ministry and to his workers. If this is done half of the problem will be solved. The Minister has with him the good wishes of the suppressed people of the neglected State.
