Accused cop sent to judicial custody

kishtwar, Dec 29: Taking a serious note of the laxity shown by investigating officer (IO) in a case FIR No 172/2015 registered at Police Station, Kishtwar, under sections 354, 504 and 506 of RPC against police constable Sanjay Kumar, the chief judicial magistrate (CJM), Kishtwar, today sent the accused cop to judicial custody when he was produced him before at the time of the filling of the challan.
He also issued directions for initiating inquiry against the IO for showing laxity in dealing with the case.
ASI Ishtaq Ahmed Kichloo, who is IO in the case, today produced the accused cop before the court even as the case was registered against him six months back. He filed the bail application soon after he was produced in the court.
The CJM, while taking a serious note of the laxity and favouritism shown by the IO in the case sent the accused cop to judicial custody and issued directions for initiating inquiry against ASI Kichloo.
