Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: To implement and switchover of existing Cable TV Operator Network(Analog) to the Digital Addressable System(DAS) in the district Udhampur, the Additional District Magistrate(Additional Deputy Commissioner), Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana asked the cable operators that no analog signals shall be allowed to run within municipal areas of the district after December 31. This was informed by ADC Udhampur while chairing a meeting of all registered Private Local Cable Operators (PLCO's) and District Level Monitoring Committee in his Office Chamber, here today. ADC Udhampur Mr Rana reviewed various issues threadbare which mainly include replacing of analog system by Digital Addressable System by December 31, 2015. He also was apprised with the status and progress of digitization process by cable operators, problems faced by PLCO's at ground level. During the meeting, ADC exhorted the cable operators that no analog signals would be allowed to run in the municipal areas of the district beyond December 31. Regarding this, instructions have been passed to all the SHO's to take strict action against the cable operators who will run analog signals in their respective municipal areas. They were also directed to seize the equipments providing analog signals after the stipulated time. ADC Udhampur also instructed the DLMC members to monitor the Advertisement and programmes telecasted by Cable networks in the district seriously and with utmost attention and report to the chairman regarding any complaint for further strict action against the defaulter. Among others preset in this meeting were District Information Officer, Udhampur, Dr Ashwani Hansa, Principal Women College, Kaushal, Medical officer, Dr Anil Saloch, SHO Udhampur Arjun Chib, DE BSNL S K Jain, Secretary MCU, Vijay Kumar, other members of DLMC and cable operators of the district. |
