Bovine smuggling bid foiled, one booked | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 29: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers, Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid which was carried out in a new and unique modus operendi by smuggling bovines in a small vehicles, the Ramban police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and seized a car besides rescuing two animals. The accused (driver) of car has been identified as Ramzan Ali of Lower Ragoora Sidhra Jammu. According to police spokesperson, Police party led by SHO Ramban police station Inspector Vinod Kundal under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Ramban Mohd Rafiq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, established special Naka at Shan Palace Ramban. "During naka checking at Shan Palace, a Car Fiat Siena, bearing registration number JK02V- 0212, was signaled to stop, police said adding, "on noticing police, driver of car accelerated his vehicle and tried to flee away from the Naka" Police spokesman further added that the active police party chased the car and intercepted. "During the checking of car, two animals were found loaded in a cruel manner which were being transported from Jammu to Kashmir Valley." Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 143/2015 under section 188 of RPC, 3PCA act has been registered at Ramban Police Station against the accused |
