Hizb hideout busted, arms & ammunition recovered | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Dec 30: In a major setback to Hizbul Mujahideen, police and 17 RR today busted a terror hideout belonging to Hizb Chief Commander Jehangir Saroori in Pathernakki area of Kishtwar district and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition. According to details available with "Early Times", a team of police led by SDPO Atholi Pardeep Singh Sen and army troops of Delta Force 17 RR led by Major B P Singh acting on a tip off generated after putting specific sleuths, a joint search operation was launched in Hachot forest area of Kishtwar district situated close to the vicinity of 390 MW Dool-Hasti power project and unearthed a cache of arms and ammunition from the hideout inside deep Hachot Forest falling under the jurisdiction of police station Padder of the district. After searching the entire area, a hideout was busted in which a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered which include one AK 56 rifle along with four empty magazines, 150 rounds of AK 56, one 7.62 mm SLR along with two empty magazines, 12 hand grenades, eight UBGL grenades, two all purpose binoculars, two combat pouches, one blanket and some cooking utensils were recovered from the hideout. The overall joint operation was closely monitored by Dy SP Operations Irshad Ahanger under the direct supervision of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir and Commanding Officer 17 RR. |
