Jammu, Dec 30: Making mockery of quality education envisaged in Jawahar Navodaya Vidayalayas (JNVs) guidelines, to provide quality education to rural talented students who are enrolled with classes from VI to XII, the academic session at Jawahar Navodaya Vidayalya, Gharota Jammu, is about to complete without teachers. Students of JNV informed Early Times, "though it has been clearly mentioned in the guidelines of JNVs, by January end, the syllabus of all the subjects was to be completed, the administration so far has failed to provide Physics and Chemistry lectures, as a result of which, around seventy percent syllabus is pending. "It had Exposed tall claims of Vidayalaya's functioning that it was committed to provide quality education to rural talented students", they alleged. The callous approach of administration can be gauged from this fact that rather than eradicating their malpractices, the JNV administration had informed the students to go home and prepare for final exams on their own. When contacted , the Principal, Anil Babu Sharma admitted the shortage of staff; however, he assured that vacant posts shall be filled up soon. "The physics lecture was replaced on the complaint of students when they informed me that she was incompetent and new lecture will be joining by January 10," Sharma added. |
