In absence of CM, BJP leaders want their loyalists on plum positions | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 30: Residents of Jammu and Kashmir are inquiring about health of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed but the "power hungry "leaders of BJP are busy these days to mount pressure on the administration to appoint their men on important positions. Chief Minister is admitted at AIIMS due to chest congestion for the last one week and functioning of the Government is affected in the State but the BJP leadership is trying to take advantage of this fluid situation. Credible sources in the corridors of power said that BJP leaders have forwarded a list of party leaders to get them appointed as chairpersons of some Corporations and Boards. "Shockingly when everybody is worried about health of Chief Minister, some BJP leaders have shown desperation to get appointment of their blue eyed boys as chairpersons of some Boards and Corporations", credible sources in the administration said and added that instead of waiting for the Chief Minister to recover from his illness, BJP leaders are in a hurry to get their loyalists installed on some plum positions so that they can enjoy the power. Credible sources said that BJP leadership is more worried about appointment of their loyalists on important positions instead of solving day today problems of the commoners. Whenever senior BJP leaders visit to top bureaucrats their only query is when you are going to make appointments of chairpersons of Corporations and Boards, sources said and added that there was a race among BJP leadership to get their loyalists appointed on important positions so that they can get their own pound of flesh. Instead of waiting for some time, BJP leaders are pressurizing officers to issue orders of these appointments because their loyalists could not live without power any more. Credible sources said that it is result of the intense infighting in the party that some BJP leaders are desperate to get their blue-eyed boys appointed on important positions. These leaders are worried that any delay in issuing appointment orders would provide opportunity to their opponents in the party to sabotage their move. |
