Early Times Report Sunderbani, Dec 30 : The people of various districts and tehsils have demanded the elections to the upcoming Urban Local Bodies in fair and transparent manner with the representatives elected to be literate people who can suffice to the demands of the people in time bound manner. The reporter of Early Times who shared the ideology of all 295 panchayats of Rajouri had come to the conclusion in consensus that all parties should give names of their candidate who are literate to some extent so that they can be able to converse with the BDOs, tehsildars and other government officers after elections for the works to be done in their panchayats. " We want that the persons chosen for the sarpanchs post should be atleast of the matriculation level who can officially conduct the affairs of the panchayat literally and transpire the working and needs of the people in grassroot level," said Shaym Chander, a government employee at Rajouri. Similar concern was shown by Subhash Gupta of Noushera, Sunderbani who said that panchs elected in the process should also of at least 8th pass cadre so that he can convey and communicate with govt government officials and the villagers at the grassroot levels. The reporter who walked miles from district Rajouri to Udhampur and also in Samba and Kathua district gathered this information so that such demands of the people could reach the concerned authorities and a fair, transparent and educative system could be adopted in elections to Urban Local Bodies. |
