| Jan demands distribution of road compensation | | |  Early Times Report
POONCH, Mar 5: National Conference here has demanded government authorities to distribute the compensation among those people whose land has been used for construction of GREF road in Saujiyan and also called for keeping a check on sub standard work by GREF.
Leaders of National Conference led by Jammu Provincial President of Youth NC, Ajaz Jan toured Saujiyan village of Poonch Mandi located near Line of Control in which a number of locals of the area interacted with leaders.
Locals informed NC leaders that work on a road from Gali to Angan Patri area was started years ago but concerned department is yet to provide compensation among those locals whose land has been used for road construction.
Later addressing the locals Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan assured the locals that both their issues will be put before concerned authorities with aim for earliest dispersal of compensation as well as to ensure that work being executed on road is of good quality.
Jan also assured the locals of the area that National Conference will also raise the matter of power wiring and poles of the area, which got damaged in 2014 floods but are yet to be repaired, so that wiring and poles are restored at the earliest.
He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir voted for a stable government and also gave mandate to BJP and PDP but both these parties are not obeying the mandate and prolonged Governor rule, due to careless handling and dilemma of PDP, is hurting the political and democratic sentiments of people.
