JAMMU, Mar 5: The SHO of a police station at Reasi was transferred over a 'trivial' issue only to adjust a 'blue-eyed' Inspector in his place.
While the SHO was shifted and attached with DPL, Reasi, by a senior police officer on the plea that he had 'disobeyed' his orders, the fact is that he had tried to find fault with him only to replace him with the 'blue-eyed' Inspector. Along with the SHO, a Sub-Inspector was also transferred from the police station to some other place, according to police sources.
He is the third Inspector to be posted as SHO of this police station in over two months. The first one was shifted over an alleged issue of gambling.
The Inspector was earlier posted SHO of a police station in Jammu, but was attached with DPL over complaints against him. Later, with the blessings of his seniors, he got himself transferred to Udhampur-Reasi range.
Since a senior officer in Udhampur district did not like him, he got himself adjusted in Reasi district. For his posting as SHO of the 'main' police station of Reasi, he utilised the services of top police officers, sources said. |
