Poonch, Mar 5: While a poultry farm is being constructed in a residential area here against the norms, the authorities concerned have failed to take a note of it.
It was being constructed on two kanals of agriculture land in the close vicinity of houses, official sources said.
"The land on which the construction of poultry farm is in progress is different from the one, that measures five kanals, where it was actually proposed to be constructed," sources informed.
"While the five kanals of land falls under khasra No 1729, the piece of two kanals falls under khasra No 1786. Apart from the residential houses, a private school is also there close to the under-construction poultry farm. If it was allowed to come up there, it could cause health problems in the area, sources said.
When contacted, Deputy Registrar Coop Society, Poonch, Amjad Tantray said though he had no knowledge about the poultry farm, he would look into the issue soon. |
