Rajouri, Mar 5: If0 a common man violates law legal proceedings are initiated against him and various sections are imposed on him but when block level officers violate law no action is initiated. Two days ago Early Times broke a story that a JCB was used for MGNREGA works illegally on forest land in Sunderbani was seized by the Range officer (forests) but a million dollar question is how can government officials allow a JCB machine for manual works under MGNREGA when work is to be provided to laboures who hold job cards. Sources revealed that the work on forest land during midnignt was allowed by Block level officers and the contractor wanted to get it done in shortest possible time hence he used JCB machine which was later seized by forest Range officer. While talking to Early Times Assistant commissioner Development Noor Alam said that he has ordered a full inquiry into the matter and legal action would be initiated without any delay. "If anyone is found guilty in the case he would be taken to the task." |
